In close games this season, the Los Angeles Clippers have put the ball in the sure hands of Chris Paul, who has delivered time and time again in carrying the team to victory. However, a costly mistake Saturday against the Spurs, and poor decision making Monday night against the Warriors contributed to back-to-back losses for the Clippers, giving them their first two game losing streak since December 28th, the first week of the season. It appears Chris Paul is human after all.

The Los Angeles Clippers led 97-95 with three minutes remaining in the game but big shots from Brandon Rush and Monta Ellis but Golden State in front, and Chris Paul, in uncharacteristic fashion, passed up a good look, got his shot blocked, and then committed an ill-advised foul that extended the Warriors lead to five with 54 seconds remaining.

Despite his unusual poor ending, Paul still played an outstanding game for the most part, leading the Clippers in scoring with 24 points while also dishing out six assists and grabbing five rebounds. Blake Griffin scored 21 points and ripped down nine rebounds, while Mo Williams hit his first six three-pointers and finished with 22 points. Randy Foye was the final Clippers' player in double figures with 10 points.

The Golden State Warriors benefited from monster nights from Monta Ellis, 32 points, five rebounds, four assists, and David Lee, 24 points and 13 rebounds. The biggest surprise of the night was undoubtedly Ekpe Udoh, who scored a season high 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds while starting in place of the ill Andris Biedrins.

The Clippers ultimate undoing on the night were turnovers and poor shooting. The Clippers turned the ball over 18 times, compared to just 10 for the Warriors, and shot just 42 percent.

The Clippers are now 19-11 after the loss and have one more game, at home vs the Nuggets on Wednesday, before the All-Star break this weekend.
